It can be a struggle to sleep well if you have diabetes. Levels of glucose and insulin create specific symptoms in the body which make it hard to sleep or which can disrupt sleep. Even in the morning these levels can be so out of balance (dawn phenomenon) that it's a challenge to get the day off to a healthy start.
Here are some tips for managing levels of blood sugar and insulin at bedtime that can help diabetics make the most of their (ideally) 8 hours of sleep a night.
